Start spring cleaning early with a simple checklist and free printable to help you stay on task and refresh your home before spring arrives.

It’s chilly outside — are you stuck inside too?? It’s been unseasonably cold where I live but I’ve already started my spring cleaning. Follow along as I share some easy ideas to make spring cleaning simple~ not stressful!
Once the weather finally warms up, the last thing I want to do is clean and organize inside. I’d much rather be opening windows, working in the yard, or just enjoying those first beautiful days of spring. That’s why I like to get a head start on spring cleaning while we’re still spending more time indoors. Starting early takes the pressure off and makes the whole process feel much more manageable.

Tackling One Task at a Time
Spring cleaning doesn’t have to be overwhelming or done in a day. I focus on one task at a time and spread it out over several days. Keeping a checklist helps me stay on task and keeps me from forgetting those little things that make a big difference once the tidying is finished.
Some of the things I like to tackle early include vacuuming and shampooing carpets and rugs, deep cleaning the fridge and freezer, and wiping down cabinets, baseboards, and walls. I also make time to declutter closets, wash bedding, dust ceiling fans and light fixtures, and clean areas that don’t always get attention during regular weekly cleaning.
Doing these things now means that when spring arrives, my home already feels fresh and ready for the season.

I also love finishing up by bringing in fresh scents — opening the windows when possible, lighting a clean, soft candle, or adding simple spring touches around the home. Those little details make everything feel lighter and brighter after putting away the holiday decor.
