Looking for spring kitchen decorating ideas? Discover 6 easy ways to refresh your kitchen with flowers, seasonal fruit, soft colors, and cozy cottage touches.

I don’t know about you but when spring hits I am ready to freshen up everything— especially the kitchen. After a long winter that sometimes feels a little dark and dreary, I always find myself craving light, softness, and a little touch of floral charm.
The good news? You don’t need a full renovation or a big budget to make your kitchen feel like spring. Just a few simple decor changes can completely transform the mood of the space.
Here are 6 easy ways to add a little spring to your kitchen this season.

1. Pick Up Some Grocery Store Flowers
You don’t need a fancy florist bouquet. Some of my favorite spring arrangements come straight from the grocery store.
Grab some pretty tulips, daisies, or even eucalyptus and place them in a vase, mason jar or even a vintage pitcher. Fresh flowers instantly breathe life into your kitchen and make the whole room smile.
Tip: Trim the stems and change the water every few days to keep them looking fresh longer.
If your grocery store doesn’t have any good blooms then you can always buy faux. Here are some of my favorites:

2. Add a Touch of Spring Art
Switching out artwork is one of the easiest seasonal updates you can make and one a lot of people forget about.
Think:
- Botanical prints
- Vintage floral sketches
- Soft watercolor landscapes
- Bunny or bird artwork for early spring
You can frame printable art or use a frame you already have for something lighter and brighter. It’s such a small change that makes a big impact.

3. Bake with Seasonal Fruit
One of my favorite ways to welcome spring into the kitchen is through baking.
Fresh lemon loaves, blueberry muffins, apple cobblers — seasonal fruit that feels light, fresh, and joyful. Even just setting out a bowl of lemons on the counter adds a pop of color and a fresh feel.
Not only does it make your kitchen smell amazing, but it creates that cozy, lived-in cottage charm we all love.

4. Opt for Soft Colors on Displayed Plates
If you have plate racks, open shelving or glass-front cabinets, consider swapping in lighter tones for spring.
Color Ideas:
- Creamy whites
- Pale pink
- Pretty greens
- Light blue
- Subtle floral patterns
Even mixing in just a few pastel color pieces among your everyday dishes can gently shift the whole vibe of the room ~ without buying an entirely new set.

5. Add a Seasonal Tea Towel
Never underestimate the power of a tea towel.
A floral print, soft stripes, or even a simple linen towel in a fresh spring shade can instantly brighten your sink area or oven handle. It’s one of the easiest and most affordable ways to bring in seasonal style. You can even layer a couple together for that relaxed cottage look. I love to buy new ones yearly to give a fun new look.

6. Burn a Seasonal Candle
Scent plays such a big role in how a space feels. Depending on the season, a candle will add so much to the kitchen. Just like Christmas scents of gingerbread, cinnamon and pine are amazing at the holidays ~ spring can be something light and fresh.
Spring Candle Scent Ideas:
- Lemon
- Fresh linen
- Lavender
- Garden florals like magnolia, rose or peony.
Lighting a seasonal candle creates that cozy, welcoming atmosphere that truly makes a house feel like home. One of my favorite candles (above) is large and a little pricey but will last you all spring and summer. You can find it here: Sparkling Paloma Candle
Bringing It All Together
Adding spring to your kitchen doesn’t have to be complicated. A few fresh flowers, soft colors, a seasonal bake, and a light new scent can completely transform the feel of your home.
It’s really about creating a space that feels fresh, cheerful, and inviting — a little reminder that brighter days are ahead.
