Here is another simple easy way to add a little patriotic decor to your home without adding a lot of color. If you love all the things neutral like me, then you will want to make this inexpensive pillow cover for the summer.
This is all you need to make your own pillow cover. Everything I purchased from Hobby Lobby, but I’m sure you can find these similar supplies just about anywhere.
- plain pillow cover
- wax/parchment paper
- neutral fabric paint ( I used craft paint because I don’t planning on washing them)
- stencil with stars
- sponge paint brush
This is so simple, just open you pillow cover, stick you parchment/wax paper inside so that you paint doesn’t bleed through. Use your stencils to sponge on yours stars, and wait for it to dry. I love how it adds a little summer patriotic look subtle.
